Dog Friendly

WE LOVE DOGS...

ALL SHAPES & SIZES AND WE LOVE TO SEE THEM IN THE HOTEL

All well-behaved dogs are welcomed in the hotel lounge area, where you can relax over a drink or a meal. We do ask that dogs are kept out of the main restaurant out of consideration for our other guests and we do ask that all dogs, big or small are kept on a lead at all times within the hotel.

There is a charge for a dog joining you on your stay, please speak to reservations for more details. You can speak to the team on 01280 822 622.
For the other 'rules of the house' please see the Man's Best Friend tab.

Please note:- We can only allow a maximum of one dog per bedroom in the hotel.

Walkies

Our hotel is a modern building with a large car park and we are a little limited on space. We do have a small area of greenery where your dog can stretch their legs but for a really good walk, we can suggest a number of lovely paths close to the hotel.

The Buckingham Circular Walk

Starts only 5 minutes away from the hotel and takes a relaxed and winding path through parks, countryside and stretches of the Great River Ouse. The Town Trail, takes you through the heart of Historic Buckingham and you can really appreciate the beauty of this small market town.

Maps are available from reception or click here to view.

Stowe Landscaped Gardens

Should you wish to venture further afield, the world-famous Stowe Landscaped Gardens is a 15 minute walk (or 3 minute drive) from us, where you can spend a day walking in this magnificent parkland, discovering the temples & follys' which make Stowe so special.

Please note that National Trust members have free admittance to Stowe but charges apply for non members.

Mans Best Friend

We know your dog is special and as dog lovers & owners we understand how you feel about your friend. However, as a hotel we do need to be mindful of other guests, so while your pup is visiting us we do respectfully request the following:

  • Please keep your dog on a lead & under control at all times.
  • Please bring your dog's own bedding with them and please don't allow them to sleep on ours.
  • If your dog is used to a training cage, it would be great if you could put one up in the room for them to use.
  • Your dog is welcome in the lounge area but not in the restaurant. This means that at breakfast, they will have to stay in the room.
  • Please do not leave your dog in the room for more than 30 mins on their own... especially if they pine for you or  get 'vocal'.
  • We do have children staying in the hotel, please be mindful that a dog, however gentle, can scare a child.
  • We know that accidents can happen... but please, if your pooch does accidentally mess in the hotel, we would be grateful if you could clean up after them, bags can be provided. Please also alert housekeeping so we can keep everything fresh & clean.
Please Note: We can not allow any dog into the hotel that we suspect may be subject to Dangerous Dog legislation. Please do call the hotel in advance if you suspect your dog may be mistaken for a 'Dangerous Dog'. This particularly applies to any of the Bull breed's or their crosses. We also reserve the right to request that a dog is removed from the hotel should we feel the need to do so.
